Action packed racing entertainment for BMX National and Continental Champ

The valley of Giba Gorge will come alive to the screams and cheers of South African BMX racing supporters and fans when SA, and Africa’s, top athletes compete for top honours in two separate championship events on 25 and 26 October 2014.

The high-status 2014 SA BMX National Championships takes place on Saturday, followed by the 2014 UCI African BMX Continental Championships on Sunday. Both of these top-class events will take place on South Africa’s first purpose-built BMX Supercross track.

Competitors will have access to the Supercross track for official gate starts from 14:00-16:00 on Friday 24 October.

Non South African riders will have a gate practice session from 08:00-09:30 on Saturday 25 October. The 2014 SA BMX National Championships begins at 12:00, with prize giving wrapping up proceedings at 16:00

Sunday’s African Championship racing begins at 09:00, with the Finals/Mains set to take place at 13:00. Prize giving is scheduled for 14:00.

Racing has come and gone. If you have ever heard of Zululand time, bmx officials have the ability to make Zululand time seem fast.
