Due to popular demand, an additional 300 entries have been made available for the Triathlon event to celebrate Clanwilliam’s 200th anniversary. The festival is open to all fitness enthusiasts, young and old, including novices and professional athletes. The events include a duathlon (5km run/20km cycle/ 2.5km run), biathlon (5km run/20km cycle), triathlon (800m swim/20km cycle /5km run) and a 3km or 1.5km long swim. Younger kids can compete in the FitKidschallenge (1km run, 200m swim, 1km run) or the Run for Fun (1km).

Nestled between the rugged Cederberg Mountains and the popular Clanwilliam Dam, Clanwilliam with its expansive Rooibos plantations and fragrant citrus orchards, is the perfect weekend getaway for families and friends whilst embracing the festive, energetic vibe of one of the most popular fitness events on the sporting calendar.

A percentage of the proceeds raised from entry fees will be donated to CANSA’s West Coast region. Rooibos’s anti-oxidant properties are known to fight cancer effectively and form part of a healthy lifestyle.

Road works on the N7 means more like 4 hours ..... considering petrol and entry its not worth it unless you going to stay the night and party it up. Maybe go up the night before and 3 events?
