Says Bruce Parker-Forsyth, CEO of WORLDSPORT, delivery partner of this major event to Cape Town: “An exciting element to the Discovery World Triathlon Cape Town is that ordinary athletes can compete on the same ‘stage’ and race route as top international athletes and be part of a world event. More than 10% of foreign tourists come to South Africa to watch or participate in sport events, with spectators accounting for 60% to 80% of these arrivals. Cape Town is a sports lover's paradise with an exquisite natural terrain and a strong industry making it the go-to place for top annual events. Our city also offers world-class venues and supporting infrastructure, and South Africans' passion for sport combine to make Cape Town a huge draw card for World Triathlon Series fans.”
