The cyclists spent over 14 hours in the saddle on the first stage from Nigel to Ladysmith and then today spent a further 12 hours on their bikes on the second stage from Ladysmith to Durban. The cyclists were escorted into the City by the Metro Police late yesterday afternoon to ensure the safety of the cyclists. Over R75,000 was raised for the RedCap Foundation which will go the Foundation’s Jumpstart programme to assist unemployed youth with work experience in the retail and manufacturing sectors.
