The Engen Cycle in the City sensation that has taken the local road cycling world by storm will host its final leg in Durban – the heart of the Zulu Kingdom on the 8th of November. With the new festival style criterium event, riders and crowds can enjoy a safe and entertaining experience on their city streets.

The Cycle in the City festivals are crowd pullers by design, providing spectators with front-row seats to the hard hitting criterium race action. With free access to the public, Cycle in the City is 100% spectator-friendly with live music by chart topping four piece band, Monark, together with the Sharkettes cheerleaders hyping up the vibe, theI heart market and kiddie’s entertainment adding to the day’s festivities.

True to form following the two iconic venues used for the first two events, the Union Buildings and the Cape Town Stadium, the third and final event will be hosted at the popular and well-suited Durban Promenade.

The spectator-friendly format seems to resonate with the cycling community showing significant growth from event to event and if the growing list of professional teams flocking to compete against one another isn’t enough; the fun participation categories are sure to draw the young at heart for a fun filled day out.

This is all very exciting and as this is a 3 race series i am assuming there will be a series winner in the various categories. Where can one see the current series standings as well as previous results?

Hi Cruzer17, thank you for your interest in Cycle in the City. There will not be a series winner, as there are/will be winners for each region (PTA, CPT & DBN) You can view the results by visiting our website - www.engencycling.co.za
