Robbie was the first South African to complete the Tour de France as well as the first South African to win a stage at le Tour. Robbie told us this week what his plans were post racing on the professional circuit as well as how he hopes to grow South Africa’s presence on the international cycling circuit. Robbie spoke candidly about some of his best memories as well as where he thinks cycling in Africa will be in 10 years from now thanks to the performance of Daryl Impey and Chris Froome at this year’s Tour de France. Robbie also gave us his opinion on Chris Froome riding on a British passport.

Brad also caught up with Reinhardt Janse van Rensburg after he completed his first grand tour, namely the Vuelta a Espana. Further, Reinhardt told us about his hopes for the upcoming World Champs. And then last but definitely not least, we chat to the chief sports writer at the Star, Kevin McCallum about the state of cycling in South Africa and some of the things he is up to on a bicycle.
