· By Press Office · 1 comment

The Lesotho Sky Race is the biggest 6-day mountain bike race in Lesotho and since it’s inaugural event in 2011 attracts riders from around the world to Lesotho every year. This year, Sentebale is partnering with the Lesotho Sky and will become the official charity of the mountain bike race.

Participants will be taking part in the mountain bike cycling adventure in Lesotho whilst raising money for Sentebale to help vulnerable children in Lesotho. The partnership with Lesotho Sky will offer riders a once in a lifetime cycling adventure in Lesotho while at the same time fundraising for Sentebale and helping vulnerable children in Lesotho. The charity package will include the chance for riders to experience the ‘Mountain Kingdom of Lesotho’ and meet the children Sentebale supports.

Cathy Ferrier, CEO of Sentebale says; “We are delighted to partner with Lesotho Sky. The charity package offers mountain bike riders a once in a lifetime cycling adventure through Lesotho’s stunning landscape whilst fundraising for some of the most vulnerable children in the world. As part of this package we will arrange a visit for participants to meet the children Sentebale supports. We hope it will be a truly exhilarating and humbling experience for all those who take part.”

Lesotho Sky is delighted about this partnership and the opportunity to give back to a very good cause. According to Christian Schmidt, Founder of the Lesotho Sky; “This partnership not only makes a difference to Lesotho’s must vulnerable children but further uplifts the economy by promoting Lesotho as world-class sports and tourism destination.”

Hi

Myself and two friends are planning on cycling from the Top of Lesotho down to cape town in November.

We have decided that instead raising money for the locals we want gather an item of clothing per Km we do and going back to drop off all the clothing.

We are busy prepping our selves for this trip however bike panniers are not the cheapest things for student to buy, Do you guys know of anybody that is looking at selling there used panniers?

Please let me know

thanks
