According to Nicola Collins, FNB W2W Rider Experience, the FNB Wines2Whales Rider Open Days will give riders the opportunity to test a section of the FNB W2W routes. “Riders will also get the opportunity to test their fitness levels a head of the 2013 FNB W2W Adventure, Ride and Race. The FNB W2W Rider Open Day will not follow a race format, but instead will use a self timing system. Results from the 50km W2W Rider Open Day will contribute towards final FNB W2W seeding,” says Collins.

Entries are limited to 600 riders.

“Coaches will be available throughout the morning offering training tips and advice before the start,” continues Collins. “A basic rider setup will be offered to each rider. Riders that wish to ride at their own leisure can start anytime between 08:00 and 10:00”.

Offerings at the venue will include: a REHIDRAT SPORT Recovery Zone, brandy tastings complements of Oude Molen Brandy Distillery, a Full Bar, a Bike Wash, Food Lovers Market Nutrition Specialists, mountain bike coaches, Basic Bike Setup and Information. SPUR will ensure that no rider goes hungry.
