Entries for the 2017 Medihelp Stellenbosch Cycle Tour opened on Monday, 9 October 2017 at 13:00 and will close on 27 November at 16:00. As this is the final premier seeding event for the 2018 Cape Town Cycle Tour, entries are anticipated to sell quickly. So, if you’ve entered the 2018 Cape Town Cycle Tour, this is the last chance to improve your seeding.

The Medihelp Stellenbosch Cycle Tour is an ideal course for novice cyclists. It offers a great opportunity to gain experience riding in a bunch and climbing hills, while also providing pro riders with a challenging course including 1 285 metres of ascent.

No wonder it’s the Western Cape’s second-largest road cycling event!

Heyn van Rooyen, Principal Officer of Medihelp, says that Medihelp is proud to be associated with this popular event. “What makes the Medihelp Stellenbosch Cycle Tour ideal is the fact that it caters for novice and experienced cyclists alike, giving everybody the opportunity to improve on their personal best performance.” says van Rooyen.

Adding to the excitement, those who enter before 6 November stand a chance to win a Bianchi bicycle valued at R40 000!

The 2017 Medihelp Stellenbosch Cycle Tour will take place on Sunday, 3 December, starting and finishing at Stellenbosch High School.

“The 97 km route climbs the New Helshoogte Pass shortly after the start, and once over the top, you’re rolling fast through spectacular scenery,” said David Bellairs, a director of event organisers, the Cape Town Cycle Tour Trust. “It really is a great tour and whether you’re experienced or a novice rider, this is an excellent goal to fire up your training schedule for next year’s Cape Town Cycle Tour in March.”

Entries cost R330 for PPA members and R350 for non-PPA members.
