With few entries left for the Stellenbosch MTB Challenge, now is the time to make sure you’ll be part of the action! Visit www.stellenboschmtbchallenge.co.za as entries are limited and will close when full. All pre-entries stand a chance of winning a 2 night stay at the Oude Werf Hotel worth R3500.

Entries close on the 19th of July. There are six distances to choose from: the 75 km (invitation race), 60 km, 50 km, 42 km, as well as the 30km and 15km fun rides. Routes cross more than 60 farms in the winelands region, making it a spectacular event that everyone can enjoy.

Riders must also order the event long sleeve T-shirt or unique design hoody while making the entry payment, as these garments are very limited this year. Make sure you enter the correct distance, and remember that the new 50 km is an easier route than the 42 km! Please read the FAQ’s on the website, especially regarding seeding for top riders. If you have not participated in any of the seeding events, you need to send us a request with recent MTB event results by the 19th of July. The 15 km and 30 km fun rides are seeded according to date of entry.

The finish carnival at Van Der Stel Sportsgrounds will have a Spur kids area, massages, a beer tent, showers and lots of food stalls! All finishers receive a medal and there are wonderful prizes to be won, including accommodation and restaurant vouchers and of course, various bottles of Stellenbosch wine. A Giant Revel bike is also up for grabs in the Lucky Draw!

Well stocked refreshment stations will be available on all routes managed by Sportsmans Warehouse, Avis Van Rental and Powerade, while Coke is setting up a massive drinks station at the finish. There will be no bikewash this year, for obvious reasons. Medi-Clinic and ER24 will offer professional medical support on the day. Please see the website for road closures, cut-off and spectator points. There will be a bike park at the finish where you can book in your bike for a nominal fee.
