According to Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports, the Fedhealth MTB Challenge offers families the perfect opportunity to relax in a safe environment. “The Fedhealth Kids MTB Events are ideal for junior MTB heroes of various ages, while Sunday’s Fedhealth MTB Challenge caters for riders of all MTB abilities from beginners to professionals. Together with the tremendous support of Fedhealth, our title sponsor, we look forward to hosting a fun-filled mountain bike weekend like no other.”

“In today’s fast paced world, the Fedhealth MTB Challenge provides a unique opportunity for families to spend real quality time together without slowing down,” says Jeremy Yatt, Principal Officer of Fedhealth. “Whether one or all family members participate in the events, there is something for everyone to enjoy together while breathing in fresh air in the most beautiful surroundings. What could possibly be better?”

Leading South African mountain bikers Erik Kleinhans and Robyn De Groot claimed top honours in the 65km Fedhealth MTB Challenge in 2015.

According to Kleinhans, winning close to home is always great. “I was excited when I heard that the Fedhealth MTB Challenge would take place at Meerendal. I really like the area, while the racing here suits me well. Mountain biking is not all about racing, that is why the MTB weekend is great. It’s a family affair. The timing is perfect and the views on route are fantastic.”

“Stillwater Sports knows how to host great events,” says De Groot. “The 2015 Fedhealth MTB Challenge featured open trails and beautiful views. It’s a proper mountain bike race, so you do need to be fit to really enjoy it. It’s everything that a mountain biker can ask for.”
