“The FNB W2W Strava Winery Challenge is sure to add that much needed fun element to every entrant’s training regime,” says Michael Meyer, FNB W2W MTB Director. “The challenge will run from June to Mid-October, with each month featuring a different Strava challenge. By completing the challenge riders automatically qualify for the monthly prizes. There will be specific routes on each of the following wine farms: Paul Cluver, Oak Valley, Wildekrans and Lourensford. We have not forgotten about the W2W riders that are not based in Cape Town. For these riders there will be a generic challenge that will put them in contention for the monthly prizes.”

“By introducing a ‘competition’ there’s an automatic social factor that always adds excitement,” continues Meyer. “Not only will W2W entrants get to experience parts of the 2017 route, they’ll also get to visit and spend some time on the magnificent wine farms that they usually only get to ride through on event day. The W2W experience does not start in October, it starts now. We invite all entrants to challenge friends, better yet, challenge your W2W team mate. Don’t forget about the training program on the event website that was tailor-made for W2W by DaisyWay Coaching Systems. We look forward to welcoming an even fitter field of mountain bikers to the FNB W2W MTB Events at the end of October.”

The FNB W2W Strava Winery Challenge and prizes are exclusive to paid entrants of the 2017 FNB W2W MTB Adventure, Ride and Race. Search for the 2017 FNB W2W Winery Challenges Club on Strava and apply to join.
