Garmin Southern Africa (Pty) Ltd., will be a sponsor at TriRock Cradle, a Triathlon event taking place in the heart of the Cradle of Humankind, and will be sponsoring the winning male and female with a Forerunner 920XT.
Garmin will be present at the TriRock Expo on 13th and 14th February at the HERO Adventure Park in Heia Safari Ranch, Muldersdrift where athletes collect their race packs and view the latest technology on offer from Garmin including the anticipated Forerunner 920XT and Edge 1000. A selection of products will be on sale and technical support will be available for athletes wanting to update software or load race routes onto their Garmin’s.
TriRock Cradle has some of South Africa’s top triathletes training and ready to compete on 15th February. The 1.9KM swimming leg will be around Lake Heritage, the largest hand-made dam in Africa. The 90KM double cycle lap will stretch out to the Hartbeeshoek Radio Astronomy Observatory, guaranteed to offer some unique and challenging sections. The 21KM run will be a true test of fitness with vast changes in gradient throughout the course.
Athletes can look forward to sports massages compliments of Garmin once they have completed the triathlon, refreshments at the Garmin water point and the chance to win a Forerunner 920XT if they are the winning male and female.
