Heyns seeking a win in Grabouw

· By Press Office · 0 comments

Scott LCB Factory Racing speedster Gert Heyns has set his sights high for the second instalment of the Nissan Trailseeker Western Cape series in Grabouw. He will be forgiven if he goes into this race brimming with confidence. Apart from taking Louis Bresler-Knipe’s legendary Strava KOM on Bloemslang, he came out on top in May at the start of the Trailseeker series. Those in the know will rate his chances for a spot on the podium.

“I’m really looking forward to the race in Grabouw. I love this series and especially the trails in Grabouw. My choice of bike will be the Scott Scale. The hardtail suits my riding style and knowing that I’m on one of the lightest bikes in the race gives me a lot of confidence.” – Gert Heyns

Heyns will be keen to hear the sound of the podium platform underneath his feet. After a great season start, he was set to pair up with Matthys Beukes at the Cape Epic. However, illness for both riders left their 2016 Epic dreams in tatters. After some time off, the two came back with a bang at the Sani2C. With this win still echoing in his mind, Heyns is the guy to watch at Saturday’s race.
