With support from two fantastic sponsors, Wolhuter will race a number of the major stage races across the country as well as single day classic marathons, the Ashburton National Marathon series and select local mountain bike and road events.

Craig Boyes(Specialized Stellenbosch) will join Wolhuter through the first third of the season to tackle the stage races as a team. Together they will take on the Garden Route 300 towards the end of February in a build up to the ABSA Cape Epic in March. Whilst it will be the first time that Boyes and Wolhuter team up, they have raced against each other for a number of years across the Western Cape and thus know each other well.

Imbuko Wines – Freewheel Cycology will have a number of supporting sponsors who each bring the best, within their field to the market. Joining the team as supporting sponsors are PowerBar Nutrition, RH77 Cycling Wear, ASS MAGIC Chamois Cream, Continental Tyres, Nike Vision, pOcpac, Squirt Lube and Sludge Sealant.

Imbuko Wines is based in Wellington and is run by by Managing Director and co-founder, Theunis van Zyl. Within the Imbuko range of wines is the Du Pleavuax, Van Zijl, Imbuko, Pomula and Shortwood labels.

Freewheel Cycology is a premium Specialized Concept store based in Kenilworth Cape Town. Business partners Richard Coram and Lionel Murray started the store in 2012 and come on board to supply Wolhuter with Specialized Equipment.

The 2015 season was arguably Wolhuter’s most successful to date and after logging in some solid training through the off season he will look to build on this into 2016.

Wolhuter will be in action this weekend at the first round of the Ashburton National Marathon series at Meerendal in Cape Town followed by the Herald Cycle Tour mountain bike marathon and road race in Port Elizabeth next weekend. Boyes will be in action at the Western Cape Championships this weekend.
