The race route is a totally closed off racing circuit, which is dedicated solely to riders ensuring optimal safety on race day. Points are awarded during the KZN Series, which will contribute towards KwaZulu-Natal provincial colours. All ages and bikes are welcome to get in on the action and to stake a claim of the R10000 prize money that is up-for-grabs at each event. Please note that all young age categories must ride with restricted gears, and roll in will be carried out before each event. Racing starts at 08:00 with registration taking place at 07:00.

A Team Time Trial will take place after the Series racing and entries will be accepted on the day for those interested in participating.

Entries will be taken on the day at a cost of R150 for adults and R100 for young age categories per event (+ R50.00 for your permanent number if you do not have one). The final instructions for each event will be sent to registered riders a week before each event takes place.

The ChainworX KZN Crit Series will be used as a qualifying event towards the Badplaas Youth Festival, which takes place from 2-5 July 2015 for the u10 to Junior categories. It will also be used for selections for the Inter Provincial on 15 August, which is open to all ages.

KZN Cycling, with the support of KwaZulu-Natal Sport and Recreation, handed over 50 bicycles to the South Coast region at the KZN Autumn Series in Margate on 2 May. This was the start of their plan to get more and more youngsters onto bicycles in order to develop the athletes from the south coast region. The young recipients of the bicycles will be racing in the ChainworX KZN Series in the coming months.
