It just might be a third time lucky for top German multisport athlete Nico Pfitzenmaier the weekend of 07 – 09 February 2014 when he returns to the majestic Cederberg region to participate in the third annual ISUZU Ride the Rock MTB Race.

According to Pfitzenmaier, the Cederberg is a very special place. “The ISUZU Ride The Rock MTB Race encapsulates a ‘back to the roots’ laid back mountain biking atmosphere. In the relaxed ambience you get to meet great like-minded bikers and make new friends. The riding is action packed and super fun, so I come back every year. It would be so much fun to come first after finishing second two years in a row. For me, however, it’s not really about coming first, but more about pushing your limits and doing what you thought was impossible, while having fun. I recommend this event to all riders. Look forward to experiencing beautiful and scenic nature that is very unique and barely touched. No cell phone reception is guaranteed. Enjoy switching off from every day work and commitments,” says Pfitzenmaier.

“We have a number of surprises lined up for our 2014 riders,” says Alexa Cunningham, Event Manager. “Riders can look forward to a movie night under the stars as well as a ‘Ride Tour’ to the local winery, Cederberg Wines. Adrenaline junkies will be happy to hear that our title sponsor ISUZU will be bringing their ISUZU Off-Road Academy Fleet to the event. Be sure to sign up for an off-road experience like no other. We’ve also put quite a bit of thought into our “truly South African” menu with caterer Marilou Marais and her team poised to ensure that every rider’s dietary requirements are met”.
