Ryan Franklin from Monster Energy caught up with Nigel Page, manager of Team CRC/Nukeproof to see what they were running for the Pietermaritzburg DH course. Turns out it’s something very special.

Team CRC/Nukeproof have opted to go the full custom route for this year’s PMB World Cup. The course being significantly more pedally than others, they felt a full on downhill rig would be overkill and not efficient enough. The custom bike starts out similarly to the Mega, but with reinforcements in key places like the headtude junction, so that a dual-crown fork can be fitted.
The strengthened headtube junction
They chose to run a coil rear shock to keep a plush feeling rear end. More cushion for more pushin’?
Like many teams CRC/Nukeproof feel like 27.5 is the wheel size of choice
where are the new SRAM Guide rotors in those pics? Looks like the old G3 rotor.
anyway, keen to see/hear if the new Guide centerline rotor warbles or not
