KwaZulu-Natal is gearing up to host the second round of the Cycling SA National Mountain Bike Series this weekend at the Cascades track in Pietermaritzburg on 13 and 14 April.
The cross-country race has a UCI category 2 rating, which will assist our riders to gain valuable UCI points ahead of the start of the UCI World Cup season next month, and the prestigious one-off world championship that will be hosted in Pietermaritzburg in August.
Online pre-entries closed last night, Wednesday 10 April, but late entries will be accepted at registration on Friday 12 April (09:00-16:00 for XCO and DHI) and Saturday 13 April (09:00-14:00 for DHI only).
The SA XCO and DHI Series gives riders around the country the opportunity to compete against one another in these disciplines, and provides SA Mountain Biking the chance to see the best of the best in action, and how they handle the competition on the different courses in varying conditions. This process assists SA MTB in selecting the best possible team to represent SA at the UCI MTB World Championships.
