Celebrating its 4th anniversary in Stellenbosch on Saturday, 03 and Sunday, 04 December 2016 one lucky Pennypinchers Origin Of Trails rider will go home with a spectacular Specialized Turbo Levo Hardtail 29er.

According to Harry Orr, Specialized Bicycles Africa Business Development, the Pennypinchers Origin Of Trails takes place in the best place in the world. “We are excited by the fact that the route will go past our retail store (over the flow track), highlighting our commitment to serve riders in this community,” says Orr. “We’ve invited industry media to test our 2017 range of mountain bikes over the two day period. Our team will also be riding. To top things off we’ll be giving away a Specialized Turbo Levo Hardtail 29er to one lucky entrant.”

“This specific bicycling was chosen because it is cool and gives riders the opportunity to ride more trails and have more fun,” continues Orr. “The Specialized Levo is ideal for many different kinds of riders. The pedal assist function takes the edge off of the steep hills and gets you where you want to go faster, with less suffering. The rider does, however, still need to pedal to gain assistance from the motor. Featuring an exclusive, custom-tuned motor that smoothly and quietly puts out up to 530 watts of additional power to the pedals, in relation to the riders input, which is fully adjustable through a smart phone App, the Specialized Levo truly has few limitations.”

R1050 for a race entry! That's about 4 times the price of any other race. Why so much?

you obviously done the race before,

its only a 10th of the price off the most amazing W2W

My mistake, I was under the impression this is a single day race, not a stage race. Actually really well priced then.

Guess I should read more carefully next time!

It is 2 days, not 1. The route is on a completely other level to most other one-day races - somewhat technical and gorgeous. You get a great lunch after both days. And a few nice things in the goodie bag.

Yup, my bad - realised and removed my original post. Actually very well priced for a stage race!
