Specialized Elite Store Complete Cyclist Hout Bay

If you are a roadie living in the Western Cape the chances are you have cycled past this little store in Hout Bay and if you have ever done the Cape Town Cycle Tour then you have definitely cycled past them. As you recover from your Chappies climb and start to prepare for your Suikerbossie PB, there on your left, along the Victoria Road strip you will find the Complete Cyclist team. If you missed them before you won’t this time with their brand new storefront looking slick and decked out with the new Specialized Elite Store logo.

With a store fit out that will impress on arrival, you can still expect to see the familiar faces of Greg and Greg greeting you with a smile. Their workshop has had a major upgrade and the addition of some new staff has had a truly positive impact on the team. When you take your bike in for its well needed TLC stay for a cup of coffee and take a look around the new store which now offers designated areas for Women, MTB, Road and Kids. It also sports a brand new Body Geometry Fit Studio where you can become one with your bike, as they say.

Complete Cyclist Hout Bay has two older sister stores up in Joburg who have been part of the Specialized family for nearly 3 years now. “The Complete Cyclist team have become an integral part of our brand over the last few years and we hold their opinions and input in high regard.” Says Bobby Behan, Market Leader of Specialized Bicycles Africa, “When they decided to go with an Elite store in the Western Cape we were fully on board”. Scott McKenzie, owner of Complete Cyclist Hout Bay, alongside Chris Walsh, has always had a clear vision of the Complete Cyclist brand in partnership with Specialized. “The support we get from the Specialized team is like no other. On Wednesday 8 March the Complete Cyclist team had a little celebration to launch the new store. It was a fantastic evening as friends, family, locals and a few well-known athletes, such as Christoph Sauser, all came to show their support and check out the new setup. “If you knew the old store, you won’t believe the change. I think the team should be very proud of what they have achieved,” says Kristy Yeld, Retail Manager for Specialized Bicycles Africa.
