The route designers have plotted out selected tracks as Strava segments and invited athletes to ride these sections and compare their efforts with others online. Miss that sense of camaraderie and competition at the Absa Cape Epic, the feeling that drives you to achieve what you never thought possible? Now you can now plot your training progress and push yourself even harder, virtually fighting it out with your rivals.

Athletes may now upload their results on these specified sections. Do note that manually uploaded GPS tracks won't be eligible for bragging rights (they must be verified by a Strava / Garmin / Bryton / Polar app). Up for grabs are fame and glory, as well as an opportunity for riders to scout key sections of the 2013 route - and what better way to do it other than in the heat of battle. All are welcome, just connect to a Strava account and ride one or more of the segments.
