ideal opportunity to provide some experience to the youngsters. If they can get there on their own ticket are they allowed to compete or do they have to be part of the national team...i.e. can someone request to part of the team if they have the requisite points and get there on their own steam?

DH, what for? how many medals has downhill brought us?

have to be selected for Junior worlds ... still have to pay your own way though ... CSA doesnt pay.

Just heard that Jono Philogene has been added to the Juniors - hope they add his brother Chris too - those two lighties are the next bright sparks for SA downhill. Chris is first year junior and already up on the overalls at Nationals

and confirmed from Jono ... Chris is selected too for Juniors - CSA forgot to add them to the press release. hahaha

Due to technical reasons the names of the Junior team members chosen to represent South Africa at the 2015 UCI Mountain Bike & Trials World Championships in Vallnord, Andorra (31 August to 6 September), were omitted from the official team announcement that was disseminated on Monday.

The correction is noted below in the full team announcement.
