The team consists of:

Darren Lill; former SA Road & African Continental Champion

Charles Keey; ROAD & MTB Student Cycling Champion, former Western Province U23 Champion

The team brings together a mix of international experience and youthful enthusiasm with sights firmly set

on the All Africa Jersey at the ABSA Cape Epic as well as the MTN National Marathon Series Title.

Says Alan Hodson of Cannondale: “We are delighted to be involved in a team filled with such energy and commitment; and look forward to partnering with all the stakeholders throughout the year.”

In light of the current state of professional sport, following the doping scandals surrounding Lance Armstrong and on a local front David George the team and the athletes have taken an unprecedented stance toward the use of performance enhancing drugs.

Should either athlete return a positive result for the use of banned substances they will be held personally liable for reimbursing all sponsors the entire amount of sponsorship received as well as serving 1000 hours community service.

Says Martin Epstein of Blend Property Group:” Blend is proud to be part of the new image of cycling. Clean, committed, competitive. With Charles Keey and Darren Lill, we are sure this ethos will become infectious.”

Apart from title sponsors Cannondale Bicycles and Blend Property Group, sponsors include McGregor BFA and Sponser Sport Food.

Equipment is supplied by:

  • Cannondale Bicycles
  • Sponser Sport Food
  • Easton Wheels & Components
  • Giro Helmets & Footwear
  • GoPro Action Cameras
  • Ryder Components
