The Bike Design Project: Five teams create the ultimate Urban Utility Bike

· By Matt · 13 comments

What happens when you combine a bike builder and a top-level design firm? Well, some pretty cool stuff! The Oregon Manifest Bike Design Project pits five design/builder teams from five US cities against each other to build the ultimate urban utility bike.

The winner will be announced this coming Monday, 4 August 2014. And, in partnership with Fuji Bikes will go into production hitting retail floors in 2015.

A few Hubbers were drooling over one of the entries “SOLID” earlier this week. Below are all five contestants.

Which would you pick?

Solid is the only one that looks nice - the rest look like the design team got really drunk and chose their first idea??

Some interesting bikes there.

Looking thought the slick presentation, trying to see the real bikes, I can't say I could choose a winner.

I am sure there must be a standard proposal/responce criteria.

You stole my content, I will have my revenge admin, haha.

No but seriously, I think these are all awesome and would take them all, and win Critical Mass.
