A highlight on every mountain biker’s calendar, riders can once again look forward to a challenging route with a lot of single track – this time at a new venue – the Modderfontein Reserve in Gauteng. Andrew Grobler, race director and event organiser says, “We always try to keep the venues as local as possible; we want to make sure our riders experience racing in the city”.

Staying true to past rounds, the race will offer cyclists a series of race options catering for all members of the family regardless of age or ability. Race options include 50km, 30km, 10km and a 1km race for kiddies.

“We are really excited to end this year’s series off on a high note and at such a fantastic location. With almost 4000 people taking part during 2013, we have recorded a record number of entries this year and are eager to see how the race log ends off during the final race”, adds Grobler.

Current leaders in the men’s and women’s full races, Arno Du Toit and Yolandi Du Toit as well as the men’s half leader Jacques Pretorius and women’s half leader Franchele Heiberg, are all expected back to battle it out with their competition for the coveted top spot.

As per the previous races, SASeeding will continue to be used, meaning cyclists will be able to build on the seeding they have acquired from other events.

Entries for the USN MTB Cup Series event #6 are open until 23:00pm on 23 October 2013. Upon registering, individuals can collect their race numbers from the Epic Sports Cycle shop in Centurion onFriday, 25 October from 9:00am – 16:00pm.
