Just over three weeks ago the second Food Lover’s Market LoveTheBike Challenge kicked off. With three entries to the 2015 Wines2Whales Ride on offer we saw some pretty fierce competition.
The competition focussed around three challenges:
- Distance: How many kilometers could you cover on a bike in 3 weeks.
Prize awarded to the entrant with the most kilometers on a bike. - Duration: How many hours could you clock up on a bike in 3 weeks.
Prize awarded to the entrant with the most hours spent on a bike (moving time). - Calories: How many calories could you burn in 3 weeks on a bike?
Prize awarded based on a lucky draw for all who burn 3000 or more calories.
Here are some statistics from the competition:
- Challenge Duration: 22 days (14 September – 5 October 2015)
- Total riding time logged: 296 days 10 hours
- Total distance covered: 146 658 km
- Total calories burnt: 4 485 727
