A new brand of endurance inspired bike solutions – Farr – presents exciting new concepts and designs for the endurance focused rider. Based in South Africa, arguably the home of the most popular MTB stage races in the world, we have designed and developed endurance-specific gear for MTB use.

Born out of the passion of riding our bikes, we offer products that are suited to your needs and ours. Components

Handlebar:

We have designed and developed a full carbon, endurance-specific handlebar for MTB use. Paying close attention to current trends and riding styles we have kept the preferred width (720mm) and bar sweep (9 degrees) as used by stage racers and marathon riders whilst incorporating additional hand positions for long endurance efforts. Produced entirely of carbon and weighing only 167g the new Farr Barr offers a unique performance feature without any weight penalty.

The Farr Bar has been a fantastic addition to my bike setup. While functioning as well as a ‘normal’ bar would with my hands in the traditional positions the extra middle hand position has proven to be a go-to for me on longer rides. Not only does the centre position allow me to get my body into a more aerodynamic position but it also allows me to use different muscle groups, meaning I reach the end of a ride fresher and stronger as a whole. I recommend it for any rider taking part in longer Marathon and Ultra-Endurance events.

GO FARR Saddle

As riding styles and events have changed there has been a recent switch to a more aerodynamic (aggressive) rider position preference particularly in MTB. This necessitated the need for shorter saddle designs that allowed for forward/tilted angle.

Recognizing this trend, and wanting to offer a purpose-designed saddle for this rider, we came up with the Go Farr saddle. It’s light at just 253g and has an innovative AirFoam top cover which allows for a non-slip and durable surface. The nylon injected base provides the perfect compromise in stiffness to comfort ratio whilst the Crn-Ti rails ensure the overall weight is still very competitive.

Currently available in a “moderate” width of 148mm and is able to suit a wide range of riders. This saddle is well suited to both MTB and ROAD applications.
