Win a very special Santini X Eroica jersey

· By BikeHubCoreAdmin · 18 comments

This will be the first in a series of competitions we’re running leading up to our inaugural Eroica South Africa event. We know how sought after and hard-to-find these fantastic jerseys are, so we’re making a couple available as special prizes!

For this first competition, the rules are simple – the jersey is a Medium, so if that’s your size, you’re eligible.

To win, you need to submit the coolest historic cycling photograph or yourself or a family member. It can be you when you got your first Western Flyer, your uncle when he raced in the 1976 Rapport Tour, or your mom in her 1980’s lycra at the start line of the Argus Cycle Tour.

To enter:

The competition is only open to South Africans, and no cheating! We will choose the best photograph, and announce the winner here. Entries close at 12pm, Wednesday 2 March 2016.

Thank you to Santini for this wonderful gift, and of course for still making such stylish cycling kit!

Visit the Eroica South Africa website to find out more about the event.

This pic isn't of me, and it isn't from a 60s black and white film, but I do know that Danie will love this jersey (he is the biggest hipster in all of the land).

So please, hook him up:) 166198_559310334092352_1598419478_n.jpg?

Taken by another mate that had beaten us to the top.  Boy, I wish I still had all that Kit.  Themba wool shorts and jersey.  Detto Pietro shoes and an awesome Gotty built Peugeot.

I'm not A SA citizen, but rather a resident, so maybe I'm ineligible to enter, but I'll share the photo anyway!

1985, a pissing rainy day outside Edinburgh in Scotland - but the smile was still there cos I was oot' on ma' bike! Matching Raleigh team top and my 1982 Royal (still got the bike but alas not the top). Back in the day when lights were more like bricks and about as effective at illuminating the road....

Apols about the takkies and red trouser.....long story.

Thanks for the images guys! Some real classics. But there was one very clear standout winner - congratulations Zagato! I'm not sure if it was the short shorts or that boss disc wheel, but whatever is going on in this picture has earned you an Eroica jersey!
