Liv introduces Avow Advanced, the world’s first women’s-specific triathlon bike

Liv, the cycling brand dedicated solely to the female cyclist, is introducing the world’s first women’s specific, performance triathlon bike. Representing years of research and design innovation, the Avow Advanced series offers a complete triathlon solution with a precise, easily adjustable fit. In addition to being lightweight and aerodynamic, the frame geometry and adjustability helps athletes keep key muscle groups fresh for the run portion of a triathlon.

Liv’s engineering team used the 3F design philosophy, which creates bikes based on female global body dimension studies and body composition data to best harness a woman’s power output when they designed this women’s specific triathlon bike.

“We wanted to create a performance triathlon bike that is actually comfortable,” said Abby Santurbane, Liv’s global category manager. “Comfort is a word we don’t often hear in the tri world, but it was the number one feedback we got from all levels of female triathletes—they just didn’t enjoy riding their tri bikes. Avow Advanced is extremely adjustable and provides the absolute perfect fit for the female triathlete, keeping her fresh for the run without giving up an aerodynamic and performance edge.”

The Avow Advanced Pro models feature a handcrafted, Advanced-grade composite frame tuned specifically for the female rider, plus an aerodynamic wheelset, AeroDrive fork for precise steering and handling, and the all-new AeroVault System. The integrated AeroVault System includes an aerodynamic bento box and stem-mounted, hands-free hydration system to keep riding essentials within reach.

Vodickova has scored several podium placings on the Avow Advanced Pro 0, including a second-place finish at the Olympic distance Beijing International Triathlon on September 20.

The Avow Advanced Pro 0, Avow Advanced Pro 1 and the Avow Advanced models will now be featured as the high-end bike product in the Liv triathlon bike line that also features Envie Advanced Tri, Avail series and Thrive CoMax.
