  1. I am guessing this fox is a cunning linguist?
  2. All I'm gonna say on this topic is - good luck when it comes time to cancel your Hellkom account... I literally just had a chat with a colleague of mine who has just been handed over for an amount of either R150, R1200 or R1900 depending on who was correct at the time of the call from both Telkom and the debt collectors. This despite cancelling in Feb 2018. Oh, and no, neither Telkom nor the debt collectors are able to provide an invoice or a statement reflecting supposed outstanding moneys owed. I am with Vodacom, and although I have signal issues now and then, I have never had the want nor the inclination to venture away from them, especially not to THellkom
  3. Well done BH. Welcome back in the saddle. Many happy miles for you, sir. (although, I am certain that this thread is more of a "fyn brag" of that exquisite steed in the second pic...)
  4. Nah, but before I share where I ride, and what for, I would like to know why this info is being used. Simply stating that it's for a Heat Map is not sufficient. What is the heat map supposed to do? Will it be any different from the one Strava does? Will it be shared with the Cycling community at large. Will there be financial gain from said endevour? Will it used for tracking rides? Will it lead to overcrowding on the trails? Ek wil weet hoekom ek moet deel waar ek trap.
  5. I also ride a Camber Comp, with 120mm Revelation. Just curios, how much did the Pike set you back? Would it be feasible to go 140mm on the Revelation? I would also like to ramp up the travel, but because of my baby girl draining me of cash flow, I can't just replace a fork at will... I am still unschooled when it comes to shocks...
  6. I can proudly say that I am......NOT one.
  7. oops, my bad. Thanks for pointing that out.
  8. Cool. I need new socks as things stand. Off to Woolies...
  9. I have one. It is a good helmet i.t.o. coverage and fit. It also keeps the sun out of the eyes. The only bit I don't like is the lack of a sweat wicking strip above the forehead. There is one, but it is not very efficient at keeping my eyes clear of sweat runoff. I sweat like a pig on any given ride, and now I have to use a buff to keep my eyes clear. It's fine in winter, but summer will be a different kettle of fish.
Glo my, jy was heel waarskynlik gelukkig as ek so lees van hoe beskadig jou valhelm was.
  11. Now that we have cleared up the confusion as to when the short and long people ride, when do the tall folks get to take a spin?
  12. Hi. My name is Robbie, and it's been 20 minutes since my last chocolate... This morning, the scale shouted GET OFF, FATTY !!! at me, and just to make things worse, it displayed a well rounded 120 kg as an added insult. I feel defeated.
  13. Don't you just love journalists these days? In order to inform the masses of SAA's intent with regards to leasing A350's, they publish their article replete with a pic of a 747-400... https://www.thesouthafrican.com/news/saa-lease-airbus-a350-900-to-help-with-turn-around-strategy/ And to think, all this time everyone is going on about 'fake news'. Not so, just fake journalists...
  14. I have it on good authority, as well as personal experience, that if you want to have your shock serviced, Knipe Racing is the place to do it. Louis does what you ask, no qualms, and also will not rip your arms off when billing time arrives. As for the results, let's just say you won't regret your choice.
  16. I can imagine this hanging in my Braai room. I would of course make a better plan with the electrical cabling though, as this particular fitment is quite a sloppy job.
  18. I visited Tygerberg Spez in 2016 to enquire about their Camber's. Sales dude pitches up, and up-sells me to the Stumpy 6-fattie, for about 13k more than the Camber. I fall for the pitch, and ask him to send me paperwork and pricing, so that I can arrange payment. He offers to mail me. I offer him my details. It's 2019 2nd half, and I am still waiting for this quote to come through. I bought the Camber elsewhere.
  19. Skills really is a "thing". People should try get some.
  20. But still, a stomping drive from Max nonetheless, from his dismal start to where he ended.
  21. When the first replay of the incident was shown, I remember thinking that Max very slightly straightened his steering, causing the knock on Le Clerc, and that this was likely going to be investigated. Later after it was announced that the stewards were looking into the incident, and watching the replay over and over, I confirmed my initial thoughts, that Max did indeed not necessarily turn "into" Le Clerc, but he also did not try and avoid him either. Racing on the limit? Professional foul? You be the judge. I suspect that Ferrari will take the Hamster and Verstappen incidents in their stride, and as the saying goes, 'what does not kill you, makes you stronger'. Watch for a strong reply on the track, where it matters most.
  22. As far as selling the A350 to South Africa, I think the jury is still deliberating on the benefits on offer, but that opening shot on the PR blurb for "About South African Airways"...'South African Airways is the leading carrier in Africa,...' I am of the opinion that that bit is a load of horse manure, and that Ethiopian Airways would take issue and offence by that blatant lie. https://www.worldairlineawards.com/best-airlines-2019-by-region/
  23. I am neither small, nor lean unfortunately.
  24. I am thinking of getting a pair of Leatt DBX 3.0's https://www.evobikes.co.za/apparel/cycling-shorts.html I have 2x pairs of Indola - I dislike them intensely, they keep slipping off my crack..., 1x pair of Craft - with removable inner, sits comfortable. 1 x pair of First Ascent - too big, I bought them on special, so I was unable to return. Worn maybe 10 times.
Skerp. blinkstefaans.
