  1. Luckily I'm a patient person and have another set of shoes, because this is now getting ridiculous. Looks like I'll be lucky if I get my shoes by friday. Also, still no reply from ATOP themselves, which kinds goes against what others have experienced in this thread.
  2. If you have a Thule rack you can get it from them, not sure about other makes though.
  3. Was going to do my usual solo LSD road ride on Sunday, but the wife suggested we drop the kids off at my folks and we go to Rietvlei. Considering I have not found a safe, self preserving way to tell her she needs to start exercising I jumped at the opportunity. Somehow we missed an entire section of the 15km loop, stopped a number of times up some of the hills, but she made it and she had fun, so next week we go again.
  4. That was you? I saw a report saying cyclist was knocked off his bike in Tunney, with the same pic. Speedy recovery man, my mom has had 2 hip replacements. Both same hip. The older units had a 10 year life span hence the second replacement. Whilst she doesn’t do any sport she is extremely active in the garden and around the house, so all is not lost. Wishing you the best Oom. Keep us updated.
  5. I’m having battery issues with my 6s since the upgrade.
  6. You know you’re getting stronger and the conditions are right when you do a quick loop that you haven’t done in a while and you smash 10 PBs
  7. I was thinking the same thing, if its raining in the morning dont ride, keep a garbage bag in my backpack and if I get caught in the rain on the way home cover the backpack
  8. Spotted in our basement this morning 850R

  10. Right so a little review then. I really like the look and fit of these, so I really want them to be comfy too. Sunday after my ride I gave them a hand wash. Tuesday I wore them for my commute to work, I could feel the friction between my undercarriage and the padding. When I gave them a wash again on Tuesday evening I could feel the chamois was rather stiff, so I made sure to soak it properly and really give it a good scrunch up to try and soften it. i then wore them again yesterday for my commute and they felt so much better on the way to work, I dont know how they felt on the way home as i left work in the dark (much later than usual) and basically TT'd all the way home to work out my frustrations, so the only things I felt was my legs and my lungs. But based on my short commute (40 minutes) yesterday morning they felt comfy, I'll need to try them on a longer ride still and report back.
  11. centurion themselves, next to the runway.
  12. I've literally just got back. Board tested fine. They've told me to check the sensor connection on the motor but have also advised that after 12 years of service that motor most definitely will need a service. So I'll check the sensor thing this weekend and if I dont come right I'll take the entire motor to them
  13. i just wanted to say I'm intermittently fast, but mostly slow. bada-dishh ok as you were
  14. It’s been a while since I followed tech closely, what are the exciting things to look out for?
  15. you must need a beeeg cutout in your saddle
  16. which is why I asked where his weight was, bigger belly would mean bigger waist, but if he was tall or carried his weight somewhere else then that would explain the small wait.
  17. but you need to mix it up too, you cant have all your ride HIIT or all LSD. i struggle to do LSD rides, I always find myself going at 80-90%, so generally my commutes during the week are high intensity efforts, and then on a Sunday I try and force myself to ride at under 70%.
  18. I dropped down simply by upping my time on the bike. Strava says I'm doing just over 100km per week with around 4hour of riding. Legs grew and waist shrunk. Lost my love handles and actually have a hollow on either side of my shrinking boep. But I enjoy food to much to change my diet, what I should do is just cut down on the portions (and second helpings) and that should see me drop in the 70's.
  19. So apparently I'm getting new shoes. Just cyclelab boksburg delaying the process. A bit peeved that they took the cleats off my old shoes before the new ones arrived, I was hoping they would transfer them over with some semblance of bikefit experience so they would be in the same place on the new shoes. I spent ages getting the cleats setup in the right position.
  20. Been to Stafix a few years back, so I know where they are, but Centurion is definitely closer to home. But I'll probably go there from work, which will make Stafix close. Will still rather go direct to centurion.
  21. ooolllllddddddd Motor, no screen. But thanks everyone, it seems I'll need to take the controller out and get it tested.
  22. where is your weight situated then ? are you tall ? I'm 1.75m and went from a 36 to a 34 waist by dropping from 85kg to 82kg, so just wondering that at 106 where is your weight ?
  23. Hoping someone here has some experience and can help. I've got a Centurion D5 Gate motor that I installed my self about 12 years or so back. Recently it has been giving some issues. It started by sometimes hitting the limits both open and closed and sometimes just getting stuck halfway open. The wheels on the gate were rather worn so I replaced those, it no longer got stuck halfway but would still occasionally hit the limiters. It then started only opening part way, like a pedestrian opening, pushing the remote again would close it. But if I left it for a minute or 2 and then tried again it would open normally. We replaced the battery on the motor and all was well again. It then started occasionally hitting the stops again, and yesterday hit the stop so hard it bounced the gate off the rails. My wife left the car outside for the day yesterday and when I got home I put the gate back on the rails and decided to try setting the limits again. The limits set fine, but once done it would only open to pedestrian access. Tried setting limits a second time. Same thing. Oh and before its suggested, I did check the gate position pickup, and you can hear it click as the pickup passes the gate so it "should" be working. Any ideas ?
