I'm booked in for tomorrow with Nadia from Joburg Physio. Has anyone had any experience with her or this practice?
I see that they use a tube inside, it's effectively running a tube inside the actual tubeless tyre. I would love to know what the high pressure tubes would be made from.there's precedent in the MX world. I wouldn't be surprised if the MTB version is a clone thereof, with slight changes to accomodate for the field of application. Check out Neutech tubliss
Would this application be better suited for a particular type of riding, ie enduro or DH?
If you build it, they will come Surely it can't be more pt then managing a full 30, 50, 75km marathon race?Because staging an event takes a lot of work generating little income. Building that course is serious pt and you only have a small number of riders who can ride the course at one time. Much easier to throw 500 plus riders onto a dirt road marathon.
Would love to know what the cross section looks like through those rims & tyres.
What confusion? It's either 29ers or 650b, 26" bikes are obsoleteMore confusion for the consumer...
Yeah, for two of my bikes. I got another one recently but have not had a set up on that done yet.
That crank looks sweeeeet
Steve Peat's helmet cam,

I think this injury has occurred from not bending my elbows enough on the descents to take some of the shock while on the MTB.
I've been riding a few unfamiliar trails recently and literally hanging on for dear life in certain situations. Not sure why else it could have suddenly flared up like this.
Are they allowed to make any type of diagnosis, or do you see Physio first and then get referred?1) Sports physician to get a diagnosis.
2) Physiotherapist to treat and initiate rehab as prescribed.
3) Bio to continue the rehab if necessary.
A bio-kineticist is not qualified to make diagnoses or provide any manual treatment. They are exercise and rehabilitation experts.
Edit - Thanks very much for the help & info, much appreciated?
I have recently developed an injury that I can only put down to MTBing, both the muscles/ tendons in my forearms are giving me problems near to my elbow. The injury is more painful in the right forearm, but in the same spot on the left forearm. I get a burning sensation in my right forearm, and it's even painful just lifting a coffee mug. This is really starting to get me down
The injury has kept me off the bike for almost three weeks now, and does not appear to be getting much better. I was advised rest/ ice via a telephone call to the physio that did my bike set-up recently.
The problem does not seem to be getting any better though, even after 3 weeks , so I would like to go see someone, problem is who?
How do I now if I need to see either a Physio or Biokineticist? Which of the two is a better to see? Could anyone recommend a person to see on the West Coast(Milnerton/ Woodbridge area) or possibly in Jozi(Northcliff area)
Many Thanks.
Did you ask how it came to be in an abandoned house?
Jeepers, please can I ask you send me a PM with your insurers details. I was looking into this yesterday. My bike is comprehensively insured. Included are my shoes, Garmin, Thule Euroway, Prescription Sunnies and its costing me R379/month. It is through Cyclesure. My 2 bikes are insured for theft from my house only, at the total price I paid for them (both are built up). My insurer has pictures and serial numbers included as part of the full inventory I update them on regularly. For R40k worth of bikes, I pay something like R45/month.
I consider insurance prudent only for events completely outside of my control. Breaking a frame while riding doesn't fall in that category...
This all seems very weird, was this guy up to no good perhaps?
Good luck with thatIt was actually a lot less painful than I thought it would be. Though I did warn the guy I might burst into tears.
The only person I asked "permission" from was my boss, I asked him if he'd have any problem with me getting a large, very visible tattoo, when he said no, I set my plan into motion
Now to show my mum
Would these rims have specific tyres, what are the limits?
Are XCO riders the ultimate mountain bikers?
