The plot thickens Someone is in a whole heap of poop it seems. So I heard a similar story this weekend, same shop. PM me for details. If you can get a few separate cases together then hopefully you can get reimbursed.
Very sad indeed, RIP.
What I have yet to learn is what is the best backpack to use for commuting?
I've also come across this from Solomons, not sure of a price yet, but I can imagine it won't be under a grand.
Thanks for thatFriend of mine has this exact one. It's a beaut for general laptop and commuting use. Thule quality, but hell pricey. For work I use http://www.takealot....creens,28051871. Small and compact, but still a bit of space, well built and cheap as chips, still looks new after a years use though. I just dont commute by bike.
Looking at the Thule Crossover now, seems like a very decent bag in the flesh. Is it worth the money though, or is there something else out there of equal quality and that ticks all the right boxes.Something from Thule or one of the photography ones.
Do you think they would be cheaper in the UK? I have a mate there now, so I could possibly get it cheaper.
So, I am in the market for a new bag after some affirmative shoppers decided to help themselves again to my bag which was locked in the boot of my car
I need a decent bag for commuting(waterproof) & for general travelling with a 17" laptop as well as clothing.
What suggestions?
I wish it was something so simple. Is the forearm injury from driving your nuts...?
Did she pick up anything along he way with those bar ends? How was the run after the ride, did she whip your ass as well?
I hope so too, not looking good , I have developed some sort of forearm problem, and it won't go away, not been able to ride for almost a week and it's driving me nutsOh no.....hope it heals up soon.
No riding for me, unfortunately I have a stoooopid injury at present, which may keep me off the bikes for an indefinite period, doh
What's wrong with simple editing, just take out the bleeps.1 min of footage in a highlight package takes 1 hour's work. maybe that is why it is only 30mins.
they have lots of footage, just show a bit more & please do include the back markers as well, 1 or 2 comments from okes just making it could be fascinating
Those estate agents should be charged & fined for wasting Police time if that is the case, as well as the people that put these illegal signage up.The picture was taken ages ago.
Yes the estate agents signs also gets removed by the Midrand Policy and JMPD.
Good to hear the injured chap is able to go home
Would that sign then be illegal, along with all the estate agent boards?completely bizarre but all the best for a speedy recovery Ben.
Was trying to make out what the poles were about, this is whats on Google street view - the imagery may be outdated but it may give some idea.

Grrrrr
Where to find a portable microscope ? Possibly a magnifying glass ratherPerformance in cycling has mostly to do with power-weight ratio.
Losing 3-4 kgs with a lighter road bike assisted your power- weight ratio.
When buying carbon, take note of crash reports by the Seller.
Also look for cracks especially at high stress areas. Use a microscope if possible.
Looks like it has been possibly knocked down by a vehicle judging by the tyre marks on the sand? The story as follows :
We were out yesterday morning for our 5 am. ride as we have done every Tuesday and Thursday for the past 10 years or so.
One of my friends next to me hit what sounded like a pole.
Next I heard was someone screaming in pain, we immediately turned back and found our other friend lying on the ground, he was in absolute agony and there was a massive amount of blood all over his body.
The impact to his face was immediately evident.
We started assessing the situation and found that someone planted two poles and inserted a metal bar running crossways (very much like rugby posts) right across the pathway.
Our friend hit this with a full impact.
We contacted his wife who was there within 5 minutes and she took him straight to hospital where he has been in hi-care since yesterday.
The moral of the story, please be carful out there, be on the lookout for anything and let's not assume that our paths and tracks are the same they have always been.
Yes this has been an unfortunate incident, and there will be a police case opened, at this stage all we can think is that it was either the start of an illegal sign or even perhaps a booby trap.
I am starting to lean towards booby trap, and my reasons as follows.
The holes were very poorly dug and hardy deep enough to support any metal pole, the poles have been removed and we see no evidence at the scene of the incident.
This picture as taken by Nathrix yesterday morning.
Clamp it as low as possible on the seat post and you should be fineThanks for all the advice. I will definitely give the seatpost a try, I was just nervous that the carbon seatpost might break or break the frame?
I've got the same work stand, and that's exactly what I do, like any work stand isn't it, unless yours is faulty. Can't you clamp the seatpost ?
Thanks for that, silly place to put knee protection sizing in the wheel sizing menuTLD sizing

POC sizing
http://www.pocsports...eels_size_guide
I've bought a number of sets of knee guards online successfully.
I always choose to err on the side of them being slightly too small. They all tend to stretch a bit & there is nothing more frustrating than a knee guard that is sitting down by your ankle.
Hi All,
I am on the lookout for a set of knee guards. I have found a set that I am keen on, but not sure of sizing.
I have looked on the website for POC and have found nothing regarding choosing the correct size.
I can't find any info regarding sizing on the Troy Lee Design website.
I am 1.82m tall if this helps. Are knee guards like helmets, where you should really try on before you buy?
Many Thanks
How much mileage did you get out of the drivetrain including the last 6 weeks?I had a close look at my drivetrain after saturdays mud at the ASG race. Just how screwed am I?
Jockey wheels:
Chainring:
I already know the chain needs to be replaced and I am fairly sure my cassette is still okay.
Dullstroom, Sabie and Tyger valley in the space of 6 weeks has not been good to my bike...

I know it's just a bag that has my stuff in it, but that stuff is expensive to replace and I would rather have the right bag to protect said stuff.
