Hi Guys
quick few questions.
i see the new Eagle ASX does not mount to a derailer hanger but directly to the axle.
was waning to use ASX to be able to quickly add or remove gears from my SS on days when i need it. its an old Niner EMD at the moment.
Q1: does this require a special frame or will it work on any old frame just remove the hanger?
Q2: does this need a boost wheelset with a maxle or similar axle setup?
thanks.

Howzit guys
Please note this is coming from someone that is extremely technically challenged. I can't even out 8min on my microwave.
for some reason this morning I can use any on the tabs on the Bikehub website on my default browser Firefox.
also can't see any of the ads or pictures.
is there some kind of filter that I need to deactivate or something.
once again I am extremely technically challenged so any "bikehub for dumbies" help will be appreciated.
thanx
Where on the Spruit may I ask? I understand that there is loads of jeep track or dual "single lane" and obviously one keeps to the left but the only place I can think of there possibly being a one way traffic flow is at the bottom of Delta Park.
bottom of delta is the one spot, another and the spot in question is that little climb up to the big intersection in victory park. as you go thought that little dip there is a route that goes to the left that has a no entry sign on the way up. cause that is a little flow line for the guys coming down from the intersection.
another is the line below old Parks once you cross the bridge and going down the powerline section.
I came across the same dumb woman with headphones. Read the signs dummies. Trail was created from Mtb only...gotta love that in this age of PC...
yeah. had a similar conversation on the Spruit with a cyclist going the wrong way on a on way trail. He had just ridden past a sign that said so.
Such a pity when people have at their own expense created and marked trails just for some people to flat out ignore the signs.
Unfortunately thanks to social media and everyone being told how special they are we living is a more and more Narcissistic self important, self absorbed world. Its so sad to see that good old fashioned values, morals and manners don't exist anymore, and i'm not only talking about the younger generation, see it in guys my age.
One of my favorites is when you step aside to let someone in through a door before you and they don't even have the decency to acknowledge the act with a head nod let alone a thank you.
but that a whole other thread.
Meeeep .... coming from Bidon side through the trees, nearly clipped three trail runners at speed. Got a "OPEN YOUR FKN EYES"
Said I'll aim better next time.
yeah also had a woman running on the MTB trail k@k me out because i came around the corner to fast and gave her a fright. she would have heard my bell had she not had her earphones in.
not exactly a CT ratio that
definitely not. you guys have proper mountains there
The sprocket in my garage has your name on. Make contact with me so I can get it to you.

Howzit SSers
hope you all well.
Anyone know where I can get 2x 20t wide base Cogs. doing some climbing and would love the extra 2teeth.
By Wide Base I mean one that have a thicker base on the Hub body so I don't damage the the freehub.
So this is my little Sunday Rant
l Love riding the Spruit.
I have been riding it most Sundays for over 12 years now.
I have seen it go through a whole lot of changes and have to admit that it is the best its ever been.
Love the hard work and effort that Spruit fairies and Jozi Trails have put into making the spruit safe and friendly for Everyone and all users. Riders, runners, walkers, doggies, kiddies, duckies and all in between.
They have gone through the effort of plan and set out trails and marking which one are good for runners, walkers and Cyclists.
Now I don't have a problem with sharing the trail with walkers and runner and their dogs (i am in the category often too) as they are generally slower moving and you have ample time to see them and move out the way.
However (RANT ON)
Today I almost had to big head on collisions with cyclists riding the wrong way on directional trials. the second was literally 8m past the sign the said no entry and when i said didnt you see the sign all i got was a "F@#K OFF"
This does include the 4,6,7 other guys that i saw going the wrong way on directional trails today as well but these guys i saw a long way off and was able to pass with out an issue but i mean " come on guys have a little common sense and respect for the effort put into these trails that we all get to ride for free.
I'm not the kind of guy that goes to the spruit to break all the strava records, I know it is a public park and we have to share the trails, so don't mind having a chilled ride and expect to be held up by all sorts of folks.
But when you are off the main route on one the beautifully sculpted downhill single tracks that the guys have clearly put a bunch of time and sweat into I like to use my 100kgs to my advantage and fly down it with the peace of mind that there should not be anyone coming the other way.
Not so great though when you have poop@ll 1 and poop@ll 2 riding up the trail.
(RANT OFF)
Anyway. Enough of that
To all the folks involved in these awesome trails, thanks for the effort and please keep up the good work.
Big Red Barn 12 October
any more info?
so it seems cooler heads have prevailed and we gonna start at hakahana and work our way up to doing the DH course in a few weeks.
R100 month pass from the resturant(for acess to the mountain)
R300 month pass for cable car at the cableway house
thanx
You can get A day pass but its even more than half of what the motnh pass is
Yes you can do as many runs as you like
Yes A 140mm will do , skill level is important ( this ain't A very difficult track but its well above average for south african trails and its damn steep )
Not very busy , you'll maybe have to wait for 2/3 riders before you for every lift up
I suggest taking along all the protection gear you own , DO NOT ride without A fullface helmet
Other than that its proper fun and A hell of A workout ( most I've done in one day is 6 runs and I was knackered for A few days afterwards )
Thanx for the info bud.
what price we looking at and where do you get the pass?
