  1. A number of cyclist start at Town Square on Hendrik Potgieter. Be careful - early this morning there was 4 very dodgy caracters walking around and checking every cyclist out. One of them fit the description of the Ontdekkers bikejackers. We did contact the police but no response. Broker2009-04-10 13:27:35

  4. It all depends how complicated your colourscheme / design is and the type of paint they use - could be somewhere between R 1500 and R2000
  5. This is the 4th time that Cliff and Lilian redecorated one of my bicycles. Thanks a lot you've done a great job.
  6. One-time, I can only wish you luck and lots of patience. I battled with Specialized RSA (Eddie) for 4 months to sort out a cracked frame. Eventually I had to go to their warehouse and take a previous year frame - just to get something back
  7. Can somebody please help me with the name and contact details of a medical doctor specialising in hips in Cape Town area. My son's got a serious hip problem that's very painfull and aggrevated by cycling and we need to sort this out.

  9. I need to send my daughters complete bike to London (UK). Can anybody help me with details of companies that will deliver a parcel of that size at a reasonable cost.
  10. I discovered yesterday that SAA will not like in previous years take our bicycles down to the Argus at no cost. All of a sudden you got to pay R 400 for that privilege. I was not told this when I originally back in Oct 2007 made my flight reservations. Paying to get my bike in Cape Town is still acceptable, if properly and timeously informed - but why must this be paid at a Pick & Pay and does not form part of your Air ticket. There is no doubt in my mind that this is another scam to rip us cyclist off. I would like to know who pocket this fortune (5000 cyclist flying @ R400 = R2,000,000.00) - Pick & Pay or the Argus organisers. Mr Ackermann you owe us an explanation.
  11. The top tube length is the critical measurement. A larger frame with longer top tube will increase his back ache due to more stretching.

  13. We've build an easy to use Excel Spreadsheet based on Joe Friel's book Training Bible for Cyclists. The only input required is the number of hours available per week and whether you want to do Base, Build, Speed, Power, Race etc for that week. It then calculate the time and tell you what to do every day. PM me should you be interested. Broker2007-11-28 07:26:46
  14. Admitted the Cervelo issue was a much smaller issue than a Frame replacement - still to wait 9+ weeks - Not so goodBroker2007-11-12 06:16:01
  15. Bobbie - WW you mention about putting too much pressure on handle bars etc. I get the most uncomfortable pain between my shoulder blades after about 80km.. its almost as if I need to extend my neck in order to get some relief... I have never heard any of the guys complain about this but some of the girls I ride with get it too, so much so that they take 2 myprodol's before even starting a race.. Dont want to resort to that... Your problem could be due to the top tube / stem length. WSD bikes are designed with a shorter top tube, therefor you don't have to stretch to reach your handle bars. It might help to shorten your stem
  16. What is the latest news on Compact Cranks - I was told today that Shimano and Campaq will convert all their new models to compacts. Does anybody know if this is correct. Is there any benefit or negative in using compacts
  17. Basically its the same product manufactured from different material. The only real difference is weight
  18. Now you're talking - Enjoy many happy km's
  19. Take my hat off to all you guys to race in such conditions - well done to everyone.
  20. Look as if they got lost in the mist - following a Freestate car.
  21. Hi Crux - Seeing that you're into this "Nip & Tuck" and "Make-overs" do you know who can produce some stickers for me. Need to change Hed Jet wheels from blue to red. Appreciate your help.
  22. Caadman - please let me know how. Are these bikes all the same size, which way do they face etc. Would really appreciate your input.
