  1. I used Excess Baggage to ship my bike and belongings when we returned from the UK. Took a while, but it got here. http://www.excess-international.com/baggage-shipping Couriers would certainly be an option, but pricey. Fedex pretty good,
  2. I remember Anton Bosman talking about his painkiller use during a 24hr, and how he ended up in hospital - not touched the stuff before or during rides since.
  3. I have an X and an Inbred. Love them both - the Inbred is a beast!
  4. Been saying the same thing for ages. Inbred looks phenomenal!
  5. Also, with this talk of cranks, MTB are 73mm and Road are 68mm in terms of axle length, so you will need BB spacers. Your LBS should have some - if not, give me a shout, as I have some spare. I presume this is a road frame. Ignore if an MTB frame. Enjoy!
  6. 10spd STis will shift a 9spd MTD rear derailleur just fine. You can use 9sp chainrings, but I would advise moving to 10sp as soon as is possible. Cantis should work. V-brakes will most probably not work as efficiently. If you use the outer two chainrings on a triple, you will need a Triple MTB FD. 2x 9 or 10 Road will not have sufficient throw, and the shape of a road triple FD is not the best for an MTB crankset. All the above come from BITTER personal experience.
  7. XTs/540s all the way. XTRs are like high octane racing engines - single use then rebuild. Leave it up to the pros to use them
  8. are the grips not on back to front?
  9. London Road is exceptional value for money. The Ti Pickenflick wins outright, IMO.
  10. Those were the Skyway Mags - never believed it myself.
  11. There were two German brothers that lived near me - they both had white Redline BMXs with Red Skyway wheels. I was so frikking jealous!
  12. Yup - definitely better than the M4 bridge route. I take a left before you get to Afrikaans Hoer, ride past the Riverside astro, second right, down and turn left at the japanese gardens. Brings you to Old Mill way - a much quieter route
  13. The only Hutch riders I remember were Woody Itson and "Captain Elbows" - Toby Henderson. Jeez - I can remember that time like it was yesterday: Kadimah Country Club after school, racing on the weekend. My BMX was my life. Good times!
  14. That was my commute from Suncoast a while back. Brings you back past Afrikaans Hoer Durban Noord, correct?
  15. Old baldy really was very good. Remember the "Leary" trick? It was like a cross-up but he went in front of the bars.
  16. I know. I'll say it again: Be careful.
  17. Stay safe in that area guys. Both sides are not safe. Be careful.
  18. Hi, Big up to Cam and company for the great little ride we had at Holla this morning! Great to share the trails with my little guy and other parents and kids! Hope this happens again in the future.
