  1. I've been riding enduro (motorcycle) in Lesotho for years, but have never seen mountain bikers around there and only heard stories of the Lesotho Sky.. This video is an awesome surprise! I think it would be a completely different experience on a mountain bike, and going further than what the fuel range of a dirt bike would allow for. Will definitely make something happen!
  2. Those videos are epic, exactly what I had in mind.. Thanks!
  3. I meant enduro in the sense that the terrain leans to the more technical/downhill side of things, where short-travel bikes don't work, like the racing format minus the timing or special stages. Although you could make a proper event out of it if you like... I'm actually just trying to find out if people often do this sort of thing.
  4. Thanks! I know that area quite well from riding dirt bikes, and was wondering who took over the Roma Trading Post from the Thorne's, I'll get in touch with the new guys.
  5. So I've been thinking lately... How cool would it be to pack a backpack with everything you need to survive (camping gear, clothes, food, etc.), head to the mountains, jump on a bike and complete a 3 - 5 day route while only camping next to your bike wherever the sun sets. I've done a few similar trips on motorcycles, but never on a mountain bike. Having spent quite a lot of time in Lesotho, it seems like an ideal place for something like this on a 140-160mm enduro bike. Is this a thing in the MTB world? Has anyone here done something like this, or would like to? If you have, please share the story..
  6. You keen to swop for a Dj bike??
  7. Where can we buy one of those jigs in SA?
  8. Ah I see... Bummed for him, hopefully he can keep his momentum going! But I am super proud to be South African and very happy for Greg! A true champion winning with a flat!
  9. How hard did Hill crash though!?!? Did he clip a pedal or what?
  10. The story of Mr Min and the One Life crew!!
  11. Thanks guys!! Busy sorting out the problem with Dial'd bikes, who as always, are doing a great job!!
  12. Got the PM and replied, thanks for the great service!!
  13. So here's the deal... I have this Dartmoor Revolt rear hub that I got when I bought a bike here on The Hub, and for the first few rides it worked great. I was loving the sound and feel of it! But then the 'fun' started... After the 3rd ride I felt a strange knock when I pedalled, this then progressed to 3 knocks, when then became three points in the pedal stroke there the cranks almost jam closed. the chain tension also got very tight at these points, then very loose when the crank is past these points. I have snapped 3 chains in a month now, and it must have something to do with this problem. So when I was putting on my new chain today, I saw something weird at the freewheel of the hub... It was not in the place where it usually is. The seal was clearly visible where it should be neatly tucked inside the freewheel (see pic attached). So I take the wheel out and jiggle the freewheel and sprocket, but it just would not go back in, and it slid completely out of the hub with ease! So does anybody maybe know what might be wrong? All help appreciated regards KP

  18. That's the dream... Away from the world, in the middle of nowhere. Just throw a wife and a bike in the mix and it will be pretty close to my idea of Paradise!
