  1. Also from the terms and conditions... This competition is only open to Virgin Active members who have taken up Virgin Active membership in South Africa, Namibia or Botswana and who reside in one of these countries. And NO...don't work for Virgin Active..
  2. From the site terms and conditions: The winning Virgin Active member can choose a non-Virgin Active member to partner with them in the race. The partner may not be under the age of 18 years. All non-members entries will be contacted by Virgin Active sales consultants with a view to selling them a Virgin Active membership.

  4. I've seen more than enough reason to convert to Ravx...done deal then. Thanks for the feedback guys...love the HUB for that.
  5. Thanks Droo...I did a bit googling and also realised the Trail pads are different. Have not seen the Quaxar pads around here in Gauteng though and most stock the OEM pads. Going to give the RAVX's a try and see.
  6. Hi, Need to replace brake pads on the mtb...Avid Elixir 5. Been phoning around and the prices for the OEM pads are astronomical to say the least. A set is more than what I pay for my car brake pads!! So the question is...RAVX do a set R200...think they are sintered. Are they any good. Is it worth the money? There is also a downhill specific one, which I don't really need, but at R300 is also much cheaper then OEM organic pads. If you have experience with RAVX pads any feedback would be great. Oh...one more question: Will Avid Elixir X-0 Trail Disc Pads fit the Elixir 5 brakes? Dean

So I got the email to inform when to pick up the race packs, but no mention of where? Any idea anyone?
  9. Hi All Just want to commend Torque Zone on their great service!! Just took my mtb in for something they could have gotten wrong at the previous service...and without quibble they fixed it and set everything straight without charging me. Well done and great service. Still taking my mtb to them for the next service. Cheers,
  10. Hi All Just want to find out if anyone has successfully mounted and used a set of Maxxis Detonator's (700 x 23c) on a 29 inch MTB rim. Want to use them on the road for better rolling resistance on longer road rides. Cheers, Dean
  11. Hi WrightJnr I might just be interested in the second hand Tickr X. So PM on its way,
  12. Thanks Lapa...will look into the Wahoo Tickr as well. Seeing as the 450 has Bluetooth, it must be a Garmin thing to force you to buy their HRM!!
  13. Hi All Looking to buy my first heart rate monitor and the Polar H7 seems like a good bet. Will be using a Samsung Galaxy phone and Endomondo to connect and record HRM data, which is known to be compatible. Has anyone tried pairing the Polar H7 with any Garmin GPS'. I have an old Garmin Oregon 450 that I use on the mountain bike for speed, distance etc. It would be great if can pair it and see my actual heart rate whilst out riding. Anyone successfully paired an H7 and Oregon 450 before? Cheers Dean
  14. Pity about the delivery cost though...might as well then buy it local at LBS for R800-R1000. At 13.50 Sterling delivery cost it loses points on value. With delivery it will set you back R938 and a some patience.
  15. Thanks Sdmouth...now you have gone and kicked over the applecart
