Personally, I either watch GCN workout videos, or old bike races, especially ones where MVDP or Sagan takes the win.

There are some nice clips on wahoo systm. that I enjoyed.

I simply cannot spend longer than about an hour on the trainer - so it's intervals or a zwift race of 30 to 60 minutes. I find the latter very entertaining. Zone 2 on the trainer is a working definition of hell for me.

I could not agree more but there is value in these sessions, can't see how people can do 100km on a zwift ride.

  3. I also bought some stuff from them, spoke tension meter and some cheap lights, arrived via courier as promised, spoke tension meter seems to be good quality, I will be testing the light very soon.

I bought, small pliers to do and undo the quick link for R18, seems like a bargain, will keep it in my spares bag.

VAT was payable via a link they have sent; all went quite smooth.

  4. The travel/car hire is a fair benefit but also not that great, we recently booked flights for two to cape town from JHB and 7 days car hire for R6420, I think that was good, but the flights alone wasn't that great.

I got more benefit from Multiply with their online shop.

  5. Here is what I did to fix my Garmin "soft" strap after it was giving erratic readings, I let it soak in boiling water for roughly 20minutes and repeated then rinsed in cold soapy water, Still going strong.

both with iphones makes it easier.

i was thinking of best option to track my mate in the race, i think whatsapp location sharing might just be the easiest.

Garmin connect has a Group event tracking feature - very easy to use, normaly about 100m off but you need phone to be paired the whole time.

    Hi Hubbers (JHB)

Looking for someone who has a lathe specifically for plastic to trim down a set of spockets on my bakkie. I know it’s not bike related, but it’s a trusted site and I’m sure someone knows someone who could trim them down. Thank you

There is a Place call Chain and Nylon that specializes in Plastic maching, they have some CNC machines with suction beds and many other machines for plastics.

If you know how to do it yourself, made in workshop in Randburg is an easy win. You pay for a day in the workshop and just do it yourself on their lathe. It is worth knowing about, everything from panel saws to cnc routers, mills, lathes, welders etc...

WOW, this sound cool, for future.
