Have you checked the hanger alignment out of interest
If it's holding air, ride it😈
I did have a rear Spank rim that starting cracking and pulling through at the nipples, so they not immune, but still like the product.
Replaced with a more affordable rim which I dinged 2 rides in! Straightened out, holding air and I'll ride it till its properly wrecked!
@Droo, you up for the challenge?
@Jbr what hub have you got?
I have experienced this with DT Swiss 3pawl hubs for instance, there is a spacer tube over the axle, over time they compress just enough to cause binding. First time I replaced it, problem solved, 2 years later, same issue, chatted to my local mech and he handed me a very thin spacer washer to take up the space left by the material compressing... apparently next time it happens he has another slightly thicker washerÂ

27.5 is not going anywhere. Much easier to get 27.5 equipement then it is to find decent 26.
Doubt the upgrade from rim to disc would be worth it on an old frame, rather put the money toward a more modern upgrade from the classifieds.Â
Most bike shops will carry so v-brakes for you in the mean time. A couple good options given above. Setup of pads is quite important for correct operation and better longevity.
Many manufactures will have a demo bike available, chat to your local bike shop
Missed all the big boys thankfully, but we did have a decent sized mole snake on the road at the ticket office this morning. The season has begunÂ
@thebob try Stoke Suspension Works they had a bin of old wrecked Reverbs, if they can't get the parts maybe they have in the bin for you?

1 hour ago, thebob said:@Alouette3Â don't suppose you have any Reverb Stealth hose connectors as per the pic below? I need to convert mine from Connectamajig to the standard connector. Cape Cycles don't have anything.
Unfortunately not. Only just got my hands on one of those newer C1 posts recently.
Have a B1 post as a donor unit, but that also has a connectamajig attachment
Does anyone have or know someone with a Brezzera BZ99?
Bought one cheap as chips with a pump snag that need sorting out, otherwise in good condition, so thought I'd take on a project. The previous guy fiddles and took stuff apart, so want to see what they look like under the hood, make the puzzle slightly easier.
Anything will work, but that kinda kit will get stollen! Ride a beater that looks rubbish and wont attract attention. Gears in Holland are few and far between.
Anyone got a spare "Ahead stem" adapter for the Thule Ride along mini? Just the adapter ring.
@droo from Stoke Suspension Works will be here in the morning I'm sure. If he can't help you.... nobody can!
The cst viscosity value is the important one to match, not weight printed on the front, as this standard can vary between manufacturers. No harm in using another brand. I've use BelRay on Rockshox and Fox in the past. If memory serves me correctly, Castrol can be used for the 15W in Rockshox lowers. I'll check in the morningÂ
Shimano make a really nice 10 speed 11-46T HG cassette if you on a budget, then you also have the 11 speed option of 11-51T, this will likely need a new derailleur that can do the range up to 51T. Both work on your HG freehub. Think they in the Shimano HG500 range.
On a side note, Shimano 11 speed derailleur work well on a Shimano 10 speed derailleur and cassette.... and dare I say it, I'm very impressed running a SRAM 11 speed derailleur with Shimano 11 shifter on my rig. Bit this is another rabbit hole completely.
@Trashy dropped you a PM

Thanks Jono, I'll drop you a PM. Going to get the Mac from Iwan too

if you can get the frontmounted stuff and make it work without being a hassle then go for it.
Â
i had to give that big green thing back and swapped it out for a Feva. not nearly as bulletproof but does the trick well.
Â

Knew there was something buried in the 70 pages of posts, thanks! I see there is an old iBert in the Classifieds, bit not sure it will work on my short stem. Feel so bad for the steerer
If you'd had a Fox fork it would have workedÂ
