  1. Helderberg have a clearance on Airborne stuff - Ben no longer supplies Helderberg.
  2. Or you can just drive through on the morning - the race starts very late. Napier is fantastic too.
  3. I am planning on doing both - and will be in a two man team...
  4. Gumpole - I just get redirected to the DHL site???
  5. Sorry Fatty - already have a team ( I promise I am not avoiding you ). I think Marius would be the perfect partner - he could race his lap nice and hard, and you could then chill on your lap, knowing that Marius will right himself dead to make up the time.
  6. I mailed them today asking for some info, and I haven't got a reply yet - so it is you that is hogging the hell desk dude's time. I should have known!!!
  7. Since MichelleH doesn't want to share her birthday cake with us, we will do our own little thing. (And it is for MTBers) Dirtopia's 9 till 5 - who is doing it? Did it last year, and it is a really tough day of racing. Only rode 35kms in total, but I was knackered when I got home. For a good day out - grab some mates (or if you are slightly mad - do it solo) and enter now. I can definitely recommend it!
  8. Then you are definitely going to have to change your nick. I ride to work everynow and then, and just take in my clothes the day before (or make sure I have a supply of clothes at work in case I decide to ride in). Pretty much means I don't even have to ride with a bag on my back.
  9. hehehehehe Don't be so cheap Marius - take it to the LBS, or buy a book. Ideally - A is the one you want, but if you have stripped it, then you are going to have adjust the cable on the shifters. B, C, D, E limit the deraleurs on the top and bottom so that the chain doesn't come off.
  10. I think a DS give you more speed on the down, while you lose a little on the ups. A worthwhile tradeoff. And far more comfortable.
  11. So why haven't you bought that Maverick frame yet? I had a look at it this morning - so sweet!! It will be mine!!
  12. you are the only person I know who spends so much on bike stuff. You even own a bike that you have not ridden. Lets not forget about that whole tyre saga - how much did that set you back? smileys/smiley17.gifsmileys/smiley4.gif
  13. Getting the Gobi fitted as I type this - thanks for the advice smileys/smiley1.gif
  14. I need a new saddle, having knackered mine on Sunday morning. I had been meaning to get a new one for a while, but this has forced my hand. Suggestions? Since I like the longer enduro MTB rides - I want something that is comfortable and durable (and that Spiderman saddle just doesn't meet those requirements). I am sure the EPIC riders can point me in the right direction.
  15. You got a girlfriend again? Was it the skin suit?
  16. 196cm - crikey I think you missed your calling Orca - basketball, a rugby lock, a guy who can clean gutters with out a ladder... Hope you weren't trying to ride a compact Giant?
  17. Hey hey hey - what about a Specialized (just make sure they lube the damn headset!) ?. Very nice bikes - Marius and SwissVan will back me up.
  18. Put the TT's on my bike last night - toyed with the idea of not putting the tire liners in, and then decided to rather play it safe. If anything - the new tires look quite impressive!
  19. I have heard about your type Anton - slightly messed up in the head. Sounds like an awsome event - I am quite jealous!
  20. How was the wind? I am still riding the MTB and really took strain in the wind yesterday!
  21. Thanks Irishj9 - would be greatly appreciated - would even be willing to "rent" it... anton - wedding is going to be in Switzerland before the Alpine stages - in Geneva. Going to be watching L?Alpe d?Huez, La Toussuire, Morzine. And riding L?Alpe d?Huez, Croix de Fer, Col de la Colombiere or Col de Joux Plane. Certainly more motivating than Knysna to keep fit!
  22. Just need to wear that skin suit more often in public Fatty - the girls will come flocking!! smileys/smiley17.gif
  23. Well - if you are there, you are there - not much of a wedding - more of a honeymoon to remember...
