There are some awesome trails in the area:

Reliable !!! Proper tyres
Seriously, you will be fine on the HT, Just put in some serious hours from now, if you haven't been doing so already! I did it on a HT while my three buddies all did it on Spark 910 Duel Sussers, and they did spent more time in the bum clinic than me!
If you train enough it doesn't matter what bike you are on!
I didn't see the ad, but as fas as I could gather from her other posts yesterday she was the same Bella as from http://www.xmiplay.com/ , the Chinese carbon manufacturers.
Their other dude, Peter, also regularly posts on MTBR's Chinese Carbon forum (http://forums.mtbr.com/29er-bikes/chinese-carbon-29er-640919.html) and he is highly rated.
Just my 2c

Good thing you are not a pro then...
Ok put differently: how many teams were DQ'd for wearing sleeveless jerseys in the 2013 Epic?
The rules doesn't say anything about sleeveless shirts:
http://www.cape-epic.com/data/files/downloads/rules_2013_20130307170336.pdf
Section 8.3 Appropriate riding attire, including a shirt, must be worn at all times.
First Offence - Verbal Warning,
Second Offence - 1 Hour Penalty,
Third Offence - DQ
No 'roids here, just 1000,000 foetuses worth of growth hormone coursing through his 70-year-old face - sis man!

Can anyone post a link where you can search for specific banned medication names please?

BTW, the guy who posted my company contact details, You're a piece of work. What if I'd posted on the forum that you're a child molester then put your company contact details up...? What the hell is wrong with you...? Very brave behind your keyboard there...
Dude, I'm not brave behind my keyboard, anyone can do a quick search on Google and get that info in 2 seconds, it's not as if I hacked your banking details and posted it on here. In hindsight in probably wasn't nessacery, so I'm sorry if I caused you any troubles. If I am caught being a child molester, you are welcome to post my details on here. BTW, I am NOT a child molester.
Technically if you came in first the guy on drugs didn't beat you....
Fixed
It probably doesn't make a difference whether he gets banned or not, but if someone knowingly cheats that person should be banned! I don't know how much of a difference these types of drugs makes, but if I train my butt of for 6-12 months, I wouldn't like it if someone beats me because of drugs and not because of better preparation, whether I come in second or 1,000th!
Thanks guys, I went to the hardware shop yesterday afternoon, but they didn't have the right size.
I want to go for a ride this afternoon though, and I don't want to stuff anything up if the seal is missing. Will go have another look over the weekend.
Hi Guys, I need some help/advice please.
I've got ZTR Crest Wheels with a Stan's 3.30 hub.
When I took my front wheel off over the weekend I realized that the rubber o-ring on the adapters/caps got pinched in the hub and was subsequently broken.
I know that the seals are there for a reason, but would I still be able to ride it without the o-rings if I don't ride in muddy/wet or dusty conditions until the weekend?
Thanks
Perhaps, me i would still be cautious. The Epic is a lot of money to spend and i would hate for my race to be over if i could avoid it.

If not the Crests, what would you recommend?
This year I rode a Full Sus and my partner a HT. He was fine all the way. Don't over spend on the bike, your Silverback sounds more than adequate.
If I may hijack the Thread at this point:
I am doing Epic again in 2013 and therefore my wife will come along to do Massage. She is a Physio of 20 years experience and worked for 4 teams this year and she plans to do the same again. Everyone was really impressed and happy with her knowledge and ability. So if you want to book a team slot with her, this is a chance to spend some money wisely for the Epic.
Please PM me the details.
I would reckon that the Silverback Storm 1 is more then capable, will the rider be?
I will be giving it my all to be (more than) capable!
Will be spending 3 weeks in the Knysna area over the Christmas period, so I plan on putting in some quality time in the saddle! (Will be missing the beers though!!)
