Unfortunately I only got the bike on Friday morning, the clock was set on a wrong time and I raced to get back to the office only to discover that I arrived almost 2 hours earlier than what the actual time was.
The lady that works with me in the office also went on leave on Friday afternoon, so no real riding for me for the next 3 weekends and 2 weeks.????
Bought myself a 1200GS yesterday. Will probably pick it up tomorrow. Can't wait for Friday to come.

Nice meeting you too, we had such strict rules/regulations etc from Dryland and the local Municipality that we just had to make sure all is ok if a spy ????️♂️ from the the Municipality or government pitch up here. ????????

Glad I actually still went ahead and did it. Zero degrees in a 10km neutral from town till chandelier.
Conditions was almost perfect. Other than the expected river crossings, temp was low to mild all the way.
Slight headwind towards finish (also expected).
Minimal to zero mud on course.
Lekker meeting BSG after a warm shower at the venue.

Bike shops in the UK and the USA just tell me that you live in a third world shite hole. We are not willing to take the risk of sending items to you as the risk of them never arriving is too big. The bars are more likely to end up cable tied to the grille of a shiny black G Wagon that they ever would be fitted to your bike.
Surly somebody (did you see that?) here has ordered Surly items before.
If I need to import I would preferably want to order from the US as it is half the price compared to the UK.
Advice would greatly appreciated.

We have one Plettenberg home open for the Attakwas mtb cycling event. R900/night (minimum 2 nights) sleeps 6 people 3 bedrooms, 2x double beds, 1x bunker beds and 2 bathrooms. Right opposite the finish line.

In totaal vir die 3 weke nou so 66mm reën en sneeu gister weer op die berge gekry. So die berge gaan ook nat wees. Met nog reën vir Woensdag voorspel.

I personally know that the Attakwas is still on. I'm managing Pine Creek where the race ends and we run like mad to get everything in order. We also got a list of what may and may not happen from Dryland and the local Municipality.

Geen probleem nie. Ons het in die laaste werk hier al so seker 40mm reën gehad. Behoort morê middag op te klaar.

A friend bought the Harley Davidson XR1200 the other day for R30k. Can be changed from road bike to duel purpose in a few hours.
