  1. Sup guys, hope you're all doing well! Been out in the hills for the last 2 nights on the green/red loops and for the 2 days I've found 9 ticks all attached to my socks. 1 last night and 8 tonight! Please keep an eye out! Geniet dit!
  2. AWESOME event! Challenging in all aspects.. Loved it!
  3. Hi I've had my vida1 for 8months now and I've only had a problem with the rear brake caliper getting a bit "sticky" at times but that's not Silverbacks problem. I saw the 2014 Sola1 today and boy she is pretty..Definetly lighter than the vida1 but the parts are the same.. !!!PRICE!!! I got my vida1 with continental protection tyres(tubeless conversion done), ESI grips, computer, bottle cages for R12500 New sola1 stock standard is R16000, its got the XT shadow + derailleur, vida1 has just got XT shadow, which is the only difference. With a saving of the R3500 I'd go vida1 and use the R3500 for "better/Faster" hubs. You wont be sorry with the vida1
  4. XT Shadow + rear derailer XT Chain Birzman multitool LouisGarneau gloves Thank you CWC
  5. Check out www.expoza.co.za for event entry
  6. Please check the event calendar on the site. There is no event for September or for this event
  7. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA... that is why I asked if I'm supposed to clean out all that **** when I re-assemble the wheel. Another question, How often should I clean out the "old" sealant with all the yucky **** and then topup with fresh sealant? I've been riding with these for about 1500kms. Thanks for all the replies!
  8. Good morning So @ backsberg yesterday I got a sidewall cut about 4mm long in my rear tire(Conti RaceKing protection). I used 5 plugs to get going again although I was still losing a lot of air, I made it to the finish. This morning I stripped the wheel to find the following... plug placement I need to top up my sealant but will I still be able to use this tire? What about the white goo stuff that's in the tire? Do I clean it out before topping up the sealant? I pumped it up to about 2.5bar this morning and it seems ok, definitely not leaking as much as it did yesterday. Thanks guys! Lekka Sunday to you all!
  9. Howsit Hubbers I've got my 2013 vida 1 for 7months now and I feel its time to upgrade. My first though was to use the bike as a donor bike and get a chinarello. The vida1 has got good spec, Reba(thru axle), SLX crank, shifters and FD. XT rear with deore brakes. SLX hubs with crest rims. It'll take some saving up before I'll be able to do the frame that's why I thought of upgrading piece by piece in the following order XT shadow + RD Hope or Superstar hubs XT shifters What do you guys think? One more thing, how can I increase my stopping power? I got the Shimano rep @ my LBS and he said that I cannot use ICE-TEC rotors with Deore brakes and that the ICE-TEC pads will not fit in the Deore calliper. I've got these on the bike currently with a 180mm front rotor and 160mm rear with resin pads. http://www.easybike....r-m596-set.html Can I use the ICE-TEC rotors with my current setup? which pads should I use in conjunction with these callipers if they'll work? Have a great evening
  10. Thanks for all the replies guys, its much appreciated. Should I look @ getting a pro-biotic to help with recovery or should I just let the anti-biotic do its thing?
  11. Hi guys So I've just started my 3rd round of anti-biotic for the past 4months. Its either been for a throat infection or upper airway infection. This time its for throat infection again! Can I continue training/gyming? I've got no other pain or weird feelings, its just my throat. Any advice on how to keep on "going" with out too much setback from this infection? Have a leka evening ALL of you!
  12. I enjoyed the race but would of been so much better had there been more ST. I'd say about 4km of the 42km was ST  . Big UPS to the organisers.. but some more ST next year PLEASE
  13. Great stuff! Klaar reg gemaak met n naald en gare.. But i'll remember if something goes wrong in the future Im sure you can if you upgrade to the 8cell battery pack
  14. So I went for the 2000lumen with the 6cell battery pack. SUPER bright light, only complaint is that the one strap on the battery pack broke off the other night. But all's good in the hood Good work extremelights
  15. O ****, ok cool..I was not aware of this LAG MY KLA! :w00t:
  16. So tonight was my first night out with my new lights.. I should of bought a good light a lot sooner as I really did not know night riding was so exciting! Just a pity that at about 19:00 and 14kms from home both mine and my buddies lights VREK  Had to ride with my tail light in my mouth to add some sort of light to the ride. Bottelary hills was never this scary, EVER! I felt like Bear Grylles with a RED LED LIGGIE! Awesome ride but Defnetly NOT something i'll be doing any time soon. Non the less we made it.. now to put the battery on charge HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
  17. As requested topfuel Not the greatest quality but you get the picture The higher you're able to mount the rear light the longer the beam becomes. The LED's shining back towards the cars are FLIPPEN potent
  18. Now I am ready for the dark 2000lumen from www.extremelights.co.za is the shiznit! The lazy tail light is also very visible, pity the lazy beams not as bright/prominent as shown on uTube clip of it. Will be testing soon, CPT weather super CAC at the moment Non the less, THANK YOU Hannes, GREAT STUFF
  19. So its that time of the year when the sun decides to be a party pooper and leave before we're able to get in some decent miles I'm looking at getting one of the following: http://www.extremeli...-2000-3xt6-cree or http://www.extremeli...cree-xml-t6-led What do you guys think? I need the light for about 1.5hours of "dark/skemer" riding, as I'm normally able to get on the bike by say 17:30 and will ride till about 19:30 Will the 2000 lumen be a bit too much? 1200 lumen too little? All opinions welcome lekker aand vir julle almal verder I forgot to mention, this is for MTB riding, single track/forest/bos etc
  20. Awe RiZA You can join me, I've got a leka tow rope . I think the training you've been doing will be ok, YOU'LL SURVIVE Tokai the weekend? we need some distance in these legs
