Yeah it was an awesome event, I won't cry too Much about the goodie bag as the contents was identical to the Knysna Mtb & Road events in July just it was in a plastic bag & not thePNP GREEN shopping bag.

The problem comes in where the goodie bags had to be picked from the other side of the room, it was not issued together with your number. So many just left thinking nO goodie bag, I just happen to see it By chance.

I got elevation gain of 2272m & elevation loss 2527m

Did anyone else get a heart rate spike from just before Simola & I'm not referring to the climb causing the hr spike. I recorded a HR of 220+ bpm from before the climb while still on that descend the one before simola, all the way to the end. If it was a spike it usually lasts a few seconds but this lasted almost 20mins. Did anyone perhaps notice power cables in this area, I didn't as this would explain it.

My garmin says max of 82,5km/h & I only weigh 69kg ????

& does it also say Saturday further down? This event was on a Saturday last year hence I'm just making sure.

That hurt, 4:20 for my first, really didn't know what to expect, went to hard early & on the downhills. Will hopefully be back next year again.

Apparently there some banned stuff in a asthma pump so it will make u faster, just don't finish in the top 3 if u r racing in the top categories. On a serious note I know quite a few people who races & has asthma, they seem to be fine but I guess everyone reacts differently.
