    Sell the shifter and FD and make the bike 1x10. Easy 400grams Sell old wheelset and buy crest or easton xc90. The bike will feel a lot beter. I will to that before I go carbon on anything...

    I also struggled to enter my brother for Sabie half marathon, he is 14 and becomes 15 this year so he is supposed to be able to race it but according to thuer website he cannot so I emailed them.

    Any weight training equipment is extremely expensive, so try to buy at cash crusaders or similar pawn shop. Otherwise you are going to spend a fortune.

    No, it seems as if the tensioner can swivel that way round without a problem. The spring is simoly pushing against thr top of the hanger.

    Update: shortened the chain and did a few kays with it and I love it. There is just something satisfying about a gearless bike.

    Yes still the same tensioner, I changed nothing just bolted it on and swing it the orher way round. I Had no problems since.
