Omega how do i get to Steilte? day permits available? out of curiosity, what is the total distance of trails you guys have built? i am becoming a fan and would like to try it out as soon as i get to CT.

i cannot get the link to work, are you perhaps referring to this http://www.dirtopia.co.za/all-mountain-enduro/enduro-june2013#Top. have you participated in an event like this one before? what is it about, will there be a fair amount of climbing? are the descents do-able? cz im not a DH freak... so some drop-offs do put fear in my eyes... watched some enduro vids on the net, and i see the okes overseas mostly ride with ff helmets... the thought of participating in an event with DH participants is kindv demotivating for me. do you think there will be regular guys like myself at the event as well?

Sorry my bad, i prefer the forest at Gspot...i think u said its called EDEN i go up the jeeps to the furthest most point... and then all the way down to the lowest jeep track... its insane!! i enjoy the berm rides and swooopping switchbacks. i def. fell more than 10 times in the forest. Broke helmet there as well. now that i think about it your probably right with the 4 trail spec. usually ride all 4, the climbs are not too hectic..

Hi fellow hubbers, If this is the wrong forum then please advise which one I should be checking out. I have been riding for almost 1 year now. Absolutely enjoying everything about MTB and been doing lotsv bedtime reading. However, I have two questions.. 1.) I like climbs just as much as I like descents(trail/singletrack that is), I just did my first MTB race with a few buddies who absolutely loved the event. I placed first outv our group of 5 okes. 38km... But didn't enjoy the event as much as my buds cz the race had like 75% ascents and 10% descents(jeep track) and 5% singletrack. Are there any events where I can get 50% climbs 50% trails...? 2.) I like Gspot! Its has all the drops,berm rides, climbs, switchbacks,roots,flow and jumps that I need. But its a little short for me. Are there any other places like Gspot here is CT I would like to think I enjoy AM riding, are there any events in CT that caters for this genre of MTB? Thnks

The idea of upsetting LBS kinda slipped my mind, but now i know better. if i do decide to go online, i guess i will just have to bite the bullet.
