Just joking..I'm sure. I just think these are a more imaginative choice. I see more value in trying something different for myself and seeing the results as apposed to just going with what everyone likes.
On a other note. The commuter has now had a purgatory in GRiD version. 2.3 wide. It is light and very nice!
Also, I had about 40km on a 2.25 trail boss (with a tube). Very nice too. Rolls much faster than the purgatory. I'm yet to push the tyre though... will give it some more time. It's heavy though.
Note I used both tyres on the front.. but at different times. The Boss has short centre knobs and high side knobs.. probably why it rolls so well. Also nice under braking.

Magic Mary can do everything needed for trail duty bud.. don't waist anymore money :-)
Okay.. but it is seated now and it's been around 80km later... so... I'm a bit lazy to take off.. New rubber=money. So gonna ride it for as long as I can.Bead is stuffed.
It's just so visually disturbing.

Used the pump at fuel station...[emoji19]You probably can't. You're in for some new rubber. Always make sure your tyre is correctly seated before inflating it and never exceed the pressures noted on the tyre sidewall.

Sorry to just drop in.. have a tyre question.
My front tyre which is a purgatory (GRiD) on an Arch ex 29" rim, is running skew ...before I got the tyre to inflate, it exploded off the rim.
the rim is perfectly true, but the tyre looks like it is "buckled" <<<for lack of a better way to explain..
How do I get it right?
Anyone have:
1.) an unstretched 10 spd chain, pref sram
2.) 160mm front brake caliper adaptor? the side mount type.
Any small str29 frames for sale perhaps?
And... post #4037 in the link below
So I'm struggling to focus at work... thinking of yesterday's runs... and everything going on in this thread is nog helping. Hahaha

Hi there..
So I'm new to all of this. Been busy with something for a while, and maybe still far from finished.
Basically trying to put something together with nothing.. scraps
Does anyone perhaps have a cheap midge bar with riser stem?
Awesomeness..... and the Commi.... schweeet.
Any chance of a sock similar to the black trail one with blue vertical stripe, but with a yellow strip perhaps? Or
White sock with blue vertical stripe?
unfortunetely these will not work on older so we have to stick with what we got.
I still use a RP2... The non boost valve ones.. :-)
I think last time I was there. They laid out 4 stages.not a fooking clue, mate. Never been there before. Apparently lots of climbing (sigh)
1 had a steep drop In.
2 was on a long jeep track, then into a vine tunnel.
3 was winding and dusty.
4 got scrapped
5 was narrow trail under canopy that ended close to parking area.
I dunno that's sort of what I remember.. vaguely.
What to expect? Last time I was there was in 2014 I think.Should be good for it.
So simonsberg?
I think 150 for each event is fair.. that way all the enduros can be done...
I am already considering which races I should do... helderberg and contermans is a definite.
Swak to think this way...
Amped for the season... which is taking a bit long to get going.
Definitely not liking the price tag for each event.
