Got a set of fox gloves, padding are decent, and after a year of use they seems to hold up quite well.

What can I say...bored at work.

This is basically what it is : I had heard about these alley cat races. They are different from a professional bike races because they are designed to simulate the specific problems that messengers encounter on a regular basis. I had heard of races that involved elevators, jelly doughnuts, stairs, oversized boxes, shots of vodka -- anything these untamed minds could come up with. Alley cats are both demanding and dangerous as most of them involve intense speed and are directed through busy streets, where unsuspecting traffic is, to us, just another obstacle.

Been busy at work so missed the whole thing where the rides at Kyalami does not get organised by Cyclelab anymore. What's the details now, track still open in the afternoons at R10? Same starting place and time?

Rather a cheap hardtail than a cheap FS that does not work right and bobs all over the place. Also depends on what type of riding you plan on doing. Full on XC racing, get a lightweight hardtail e.g giant xtc, longer enduro ride, XC FS e.g giant anthem, riding with buddies all day and playing around a little get a all mountain FS, like the Giant Trance or if you want to do more serious drops/technical decents, but not quite DH racing yet, get something like a giant reign/ac, or if you want to do dirtjumping, skatepark riding etc. get something like the Giant STP hardtail. btw I am a Giant fan

saw some kids the other day on BMX's dirt jumping and getting some serious air, 3 to 4m's straight up without wearing helmets. Personally I feel naked on my bike without a helmet.

MMhh look on the dome2dome.co.za site at the 104km route, it seems we are going up the Krugersdorp hill. Oh joy, feeling the heartattack coming already!

THERE IS A GRAVEL ROAD SECTION!!?? Not sure if I want my new wheels to go on a gravel road, even if it's just for a short bit.
